Fun Fact

Normally, I'd have a Mentor Monday post for you. However, a couple of things fell through. In the absence of today's mentor, I leave you with this:

Quite a bit a go, I told you about my love for Whole Foods. I'm a Whole Foods evangelist, I told you. If you're having a bad day, go to Whole Foods for a pick-me-up.

One more confirmation that I belong at that store: While shopping there, "Walk Like an Egyptian" came on the speakers (reason enough, but wait! there's more!). Of course, you can't hear that song and not dance. So there I was, pushing my cart, dancing down the aisles. I turn the corner, and low and behold, I spy another dancer! I smile, we nod to each other, we fellow dancers. Then a couple turns into our aisle, and they too dance to the song while pushing their cart.

What can I say, folks? It was meant to be.

Now that two of my daughters are vegetarians, we try to get to whole foods whenever we can. We have to go to Austin though.

But yeah, what a great place.

Whenever we're in Dallas we stock up on Whole Foods goodness. Whenever I'm anywhere and music is playing, I dance. Just have to. If people don't want you to dance, they should not play music.

And ANYONE who can resist dancing to "Walk Like an Egyptian" needs counseling. Big time. They're obviously repressed.

If I owned a store, I would play only infectious tunes and then watch the video cameras for amusement. :)

So would this be a scene from Pushing Daisies or Moulin Rouge?

That is an infectious song. I can't help singing and dancing along. Of course, I'm a pretty graceless Egyptian. :(

Mir<--who is too fat now to dance cool, but who gets her Ezekiel bread and Alvarado St Tortillas and Stonyfield low fat yogurts and organic stuff most of the time at WF.

Ah, Trader Joe's. We don't have one in Dallas, although I've heard a rumor that they might be coming.

There are few songs, actually, that I can resist dancing to. I generally build up a reputation for randomly breaking into dance.

Erin--definitely Pushing Daisies. I wasn't a big fan of Moulin Rouge. I liked it, but not enough to want my life to be a scene in it.
Speaking of--if you haven't seen Bread and Tulips, then go rent that DVD. Along the lines of Amelie and Volver and Pushing Daisies with its bright colors and its message to embrace life.

I tend to break out into song in the aisles so my daughters won't shop with me anymore. :-(
