HAMLET ON THE STREET - Monologue by Craig Bazan in Camden NJ
Here's why I love this:
1. It's a darn good rendition.
2. It's set in Camden, NJ, where my mother grew up and my grandparents lived, miles away from where I grew up when we lived in Jersey, and the area, well, let's put it this way. You know those movies that show the poor, gang-infested areas? That's Camden. So this beauty coming from there encourages me. And finally, it's where my current novel is set.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. GRACIOUS. I. LOVE. THIS.
AND. I. WANT. MORE.
If you go to YouTube and search his name, you'll find more. He also did a scene from Sweeney Todd (which, if you'll remember from a previous post, is one of my favorite musicals). He did a good job with the emotion (especially considering that Sondheim musicals aren't lyrical and lose a lot when taken out of context).
WoW!
I sure hope someone is watching who can get this kid a contract--I'm thinking Broadway more than movie but he is so talented!
WoW!
Uh, yeah. I'm kind of speechless.
Breathtaking. "To be"--no question!
